Founder - Sayardaw Venerable Kusala.

Year of Establishment - 1st June 1993

Background - In 1st June 1993 former Sayardaw Venerable Kusala registered
the Monastic Education School (Basic) with the Department of
the Promotion and Propagation of the Sasana, Ministry of Religious
Affairs, Government of the Union of Myanmar as prescribed and started
to care health, education, providing clothes and shelters to the 25
fatherless, motherless and poor orphans from the remote border areas
and other States and Division. After the rest in peace of Sayardaw Kusala, the present Sayardaw Venerable Pannacara continues this school. In 1995- 1996 academic year the school was raised to Monastic Education Middle School (Basic). In 7th July 2005 Sayardaw Venerable Pannacara increased the school into Child Develop- ment Centre and has been granted registration with the Social Welfare Department. In this academic year (2006-2007) 160 children are cared and provided by Sayadaw and continue their education joyfully.

Vision Mission - (1) To school the children up to 10th standard and to provide university
education if they are qualified.
(2) To provide dormitory, teaching rooms and teaching aids sufficiently
to the increasing number of children.

Main goal - To narture and care the children to become good citizens, serving their
region as well as the nation.

Main Activities - (1) Providing foods and shelters to orphans and poor children.
(2) Providing education with the monks, teachers and volunteer
teachers for children’s all round development.
(3) To teach Basic Buddhist Doctrines to the children.
(4) Providing shelter to the children up to eight standard at the centre
and provide necessary support for Basic Education High School and
Higher Education.
(5) Providing medical care to the children with a family doctor as
well as traditional medicine expert.

Primary Beneficiaries - Orphans, poor and destitute children from various part of Myanmar.

Current Activities - To provide the sufficient shelter teaching rooms and dormitory for the
children the Principle Sayardaw and committee of the child development
school have been building a new three stories building with the donation
of benevolent persons, since 2004.
- In case of necessary the principle and executive committee built a
temporary teaching room this year.
- Established a library to get knowledge, practice of reading and good
habit for the children.
- Invited volunteer teachers and taught Basic English Grammar and
Speaking Course to the children during the summer holiday.
